We've launched a platform for iMusician, a Swiss music distribution service used by over 500,000 independent artists and labels. Founded in 2010 by electronic music producers, iMusician distributes to 200+ streaming services and takes zero commission on streaming earnings.

The technical problem was distribution at scale. The platform manages the lifecycle from upload to monetisation across majors like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and TikTok, alongside specialist platforms like Beatport and Traxsource. Each service has its own requirements, formats, and metadata quirks.

We built the dashboard on Craft CMS with integrations into the streaming platform APIs. It handles real-time analytics, playlist pitching, and flexible pricing — artists can choose between pay-per-release and subscription, and keep full ownership of their music and 100% of their streaming earnings.

Artists range from bedroom producers releasing a first single to established independent labels managing large catalogues, and the interface had to work across both. Alongside distribution, the platform offers promotional tools, mastering, and detailed analytics.
