Built around the booking

Salacia supplies mid to high-end bathroom sanitaryware, fittings and furniture to retail, developer and specification clients from a single showroom on a working farm outside Cranbrook, Kent. The business doesn't sell products online. Every relationship starts with a conversation, usually in the showroom, so the rebuilt site had to carry that logic through every page. A homeowner exploring finishes, a developer scoping forty plots, or a specifier researching a range should all end up in the same place: a booked consultation.

A form with logic

Behind the booking page sits a multi-step form that does more than take a name and a date. It asks what's being renovated, how many bathrooms and of what type, and which of Salacia's three consultation tiers fits: a quick introductory chat, a pricing consultation, or a full planning and design session. That input decides how long the appointment needs to be and who it goes to, following the same fair-allocation rules the design team already used.

Three audiences, one showroom

Retail homeowners, architects and interior designers, and developers running multi-plot schemes each need something different from Salacia, so the site splits into three distinct journeys instead of one generic path: a design service for personal projects, a commercial and specification arm for professionals, and a growing set of case studies drawn from Salacia's own work across Kent, from six-home developments to Grade II listed conversions. A separate trade arm, The Plumbing Counter, is linked to and kept deliberately out of scope, so it doesn't dilute either journey.

Ex-display stock, synced to the website and eBay via Shopify

Ex-display pieces removed when a showroom set is redesigned go on sale through a dedicated clearance section, filterable by brand and product type in the same considered style as the rest of the site.

It runs on headless Shopify, so each piece is entered once and syndicated out to both the website and Salacia's eBay shop, instead of being listed twice by hand. It's a practical, sustainability-minded footnote to a business that started out selling reclaimed bathroom stock on eBay back in 2007, long before it had a showroom at all.

Project roundup

Shopify-powered clearance

Ex-display pieces removed during a showroom refresh are entered once in headless Shopify, then listed on the website and eBay together.

Signature Bathrooms portfolio

A growing set of real Salacia projects, filterable by type, from six-home developments to Grade II listed conversions across Kent.

A form with real logic

The booking form asks what's being renovated and how many bathrooms, then works out appointment length and consultant automatically.

Mutual accessibility controls

A dyslexia-friendly font, reduced motion, high contrast and a calmer colour mode, all switched on from a panel on every page.

Visiting, not just an address

The showroom page previews the room sets before you arrive, then gives you what3words, parking and opening hours in one place.
